making any changes to the property. and, he says the nugget's staff, should expect no sudden changes either. marnell: "we're taking all the employes on dayone. everybody will keep their hire dates. they'll keep their benefits. they'll have substantially similar health insurance to what they have today, no waiting period. team members are the greatest asset and we don't want them interrupted at all." marnell says the nugget is an iconic property. his family is buying the nugget, from global gaming and hospitality, which bought the resort just two years ago, from the ascuaga family-- which had operated it for more than 50 years. the sale must be approved by state gaming authorities. that's expected to be final, sometime in the second quarter of this year. ### reno police arrested the man they say robbed a gas station and then led them on a chase the next day. after a brief standoff with police 39 year old wesley ford was arrested around midnight. he's charged with

and several other charges. this all started with an armed robbery on monday at mavericks gas station. police say ford stole a truck on tuesday and led them on a chase. initially detectives believed a 19 year old was a suspect, but after speaking with witnesses and receiving secret witness tips he was cleared by police. cliven bundy will stay behind bars until his court hearing, next week. bundy was arrested when he arrived in portland last night. he was flying from las vegas to portland to see the last four protestors, who were occupying the malheur national wildlife refuge. two of those occupiers are his sons. the last one surrendered this morning. 25 people were charged with the standoff. they'll face the same felony count of conspiracy to interfere with federal workers. ### we have a correction to a story we reported on tuesday evening involving a lawsuit against the east fork fire protection district in douglas county. we incorrectly reported that the suit was filed by allstate

allstate was the insurance company for the plaintiffs and the insurance settlement paid the attorney fees. but allstate was not a party to the lawsuit. ### the southeast connector isn't finished yet, but today the public was invited to voice their opinions. the 300 million dollar road project, will connect sparks to south reno, with an estimated completion date of december 20-17. many of the people at the seminar said--- just because the road is a reality, does not mean they're happy with the project. they have strong noise, and the regional transportation taking seven acres of and converting it into a self sustaining wetland complex. also, they are doing something about the trash in the area. trt:09 joe harrington, rtc, "to date we have already trash. things that were just abandoned as a result of illegal

with a political newcomer today. she presented a proclamation naming a dog... mayor for the day. his name is everett and he's a newfoundland, black lab mix. the former shelter dog, and his adopted parents started the day-- with a ride in a limousine. it brought them to city hall, for the big honors. a short meet and greet with the mayor and other city dignitaries... and then it was down to

"everett has found an amazing home through the spca but we really want to bring light to this within our city, because a lot of animals are homeless." in fact.... s-p-c-a representatives--- say that black animals, both cats and dogs, are least likely to be adopted... and most likely to be euthanized. that makes everett the perfect pick, to represent all animals in need of a home. his new family is so proud of this lovable lab-mix... that they won this honor for him, by being the highest bidders at the s-p-c-a's "affur to remember". mayor schieve says she thinks the promotion is a great idea, and hopes to see it get even bigger next year. ### a local woman is in need of a kidney transplant.. and she's turning to the community for help. her story has gained quite a following on social media. kerry kozlowski cause-lau-skee was diagnosed with kidney disease in december of 2014. unfortunately, none of

were a match for the transplant. friends and neighbors made a facebook page for kerry, hoping they can find a matching donor. "i was in a really dark place because i was going on dialysis and i didn't have any matches. i didn't have any hope." "17 people are added every day to the list. it may not seem like a lot to you, but when it does happen to you, that's when you get a really big wake up call. it can happen to anyone." in nevada, there are around 400 people who are waiting for a kidney transplant, which makes up about 77 percent of nevadans who are waiting for an organ transplant. nationally, that number grows to 85 percent. kerry is currently in the final stage of chronic kidney disease later this month. her progress ... or want organ donation go to kolo-t-v-dot-com and click on hot topics.
